Description

Elegant and delicate almond-flavored petit fours covered in smooth white glaze, topped with almond slices for a refined, bite-sized treat.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 box almond cake mix (or homemade almond cake)
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 tablespoon milk (for consistency)
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds (for topping)
  • 1 cup white chocolate or fondant for coating

Instructions

  1. Prepare the almond cake according to the instructions on the box or your homemade almond cake recipe. Let the cake cool completely before slicing into small square pieces.
  2. In a medium bowl, beat softened butter until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar and almond extract, mixing until smooth.
  3. Add milk, one tablespoon at a time, until the buttercream reaches a thick but spreadable consistency.
  4. Dip each square of cake into melted white chocolate or roll them in fondant to coat completely.
  5. Top each petit four with a few slices of almonds, pressing them gently into the surface.
  6. Allow the coated petit fours to set for at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes

  • For a smoother glaze, you can add a few drops of vegetable oil to the melted white chocolate.
  • If using fondant, make sure to roll it thin enough to coat the petit fours evenly.
  • These petit fours can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
