Description

Soft, fluffy bread rolls filled with sweet custard and drizzled with white chocolate, topped with a hint of Biscoff spread for a delicious treat.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup warm milk
  • 1 tablespoon yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup Biscoff spread (cookie butter)
  • 1/2 cup custard (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/4 cup white chocolate, melted
  • Fresh strawberry slices for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine warm milk and sugar, then sprinkle the yeast over the top. Let it sit for 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour and salt, and then add the yeast mixture, butter, and egg. Mix until the dough comes together.
  3. Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until smooth, then cover and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
  4. Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out into a rectangle on a floured surface.
  5. Spread a thin layer of Biscoff spread over the dough, then add an even layer of custard.
  6. Roll the dough tightly into a log and slice into 1-inch thick rolls.
  7. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise for 30-45 minutes until puffy.
  8. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the rolls for 18-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  9. Remove the rolls from the oven and drizzle the melted white chocolate over the top.
  10. Garnish with fresh strawberry slices before serving.

Notes

  • For a homemade custard, you can use a basic vanilla custard recipe or pre-made custard for convenience.
  • The rolls can be enjoyed warm, fresh from the oven, or at room temperature.
  • Make sure to allow the dough enough time to rise for the best texture.
