- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup warm milk
- 1 tablespoon yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup Biscoff spread (cookie butter)
- 1/2 cup custard (store-bought or homemade)
- 1/4 cup white chocolate, melted
- Fresh strawberry slices for garnish
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine warm milk and sugar, then sprinkle the yeast over the top. Let it sit for 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.
- In a large bowl, combine the flour and salt, and then add the yeast mixture, butter, and egg. Mix until the dough comes together.
- Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until smooth, then cover and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
- Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out into a rectangle on a floured surface.
- Spread a thin layer of Biscoff spread over the dough, then add an even layer of custard.
- Roll the dough tightly into a log and slice into 1-inch thick rolls.
- Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise for 30-45 minutes until puffy.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the rolls for 18-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Remove the rolls from the oven and drizzle the melted white chocolate over the top.
- Garnish with fresh strawberry slices before serving.
Notes
- For a homemade custard, you can use a basic vanilla custard recipe or pre-made custard for convenience.
- The rolls can be enjoyed warm, fresh from the oven, or at room temperature.
- Make sure to allow the dough enough time to rise for the best texture.
