Description

This dreamy twist on the classic Italian dessert layers fluffy ladyfingers soaked in strawberry syrup with rich, tangy cheesecake cream, all topped in whipped strawberry mousse and garnished with fresh or candied strawberries—light, luscious, and utterly irresistible.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 cup strawberry puree (for strawberry syrup)
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (for strawberry syrup)
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice (for strawberry syrup)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened (for cheesecake cream)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for cheesecake cream)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for cheesecake cream)
  • 1 cup heavy cream (for cheesecake cream)
  • 24 ladyfinger cookies (for layering)
  • 1/2 cup milk (optional, to dilute syrup if too thick)
  • 1 cup whipped cream or strawberry mousse (for topping)
  • 2 tablespoons strawberry powder or pink dust (optional for garnish)
  • Fresh or glazed strawberries, halved (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine strawberry puree, sugar, and lemon juice. Simmer for 5–7 minutes until slightly thickened. Let cool.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract and mix well.
  3. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Fold into the cream cheese mixture until light and fluffy.
  4. Dip ladyfingers briefly into the cooled strawberry syrup (diluted with milk if needed). Layer them in a glass dish.
  5. Spread half the cheesecake mixture over the ladyfingers. Repeat layers once more.
  6. Top with whipped cream or strawberry mousse. Smooth the surface.
  7. Dust with strawberry powder (optional) and decorate with halved strawberries.
  8. Chill at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.

Notes

  • If you prefer a more intense strawberry flavor, use fresh strawberry puree instead of store-bought.
  • For a lighter texture, use whipped cream instead of strawberry mousse for the topping.
  • Serve with extra fresh strawberries on the side for an even more indulgent treat.
  • This dessert can be made a day ahead, and it tastes even better after it sits overnight!
