Sausage-Stuffed French Toast Roll-Ups are a quick and savory-sweet handheld breakfast—crispy golden French toast wrapped around juicy sausage links, perfect for dipping in maple syrup and ideal for busy mornings or relaxed brunches. #stuffedfrenchtoast #breakfastideas

Ingredients

  • 6 slices of sandwich bread, crusts removed

  • 6 fully cooked breakfast sausage links

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1/4 cup milk

  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 tablespoon butter (for pan)

  • Maple syrup, for serving

  • Fresh strawberries, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Bread: Use a rolling pin to flatten each slice of bread until thin and pliable.

  2. Assemble Roll-Ups: Place a sausage link on one edge of each bread slice, roll tightly, and press to seal the edge.

  3. Make Egg Mixture: In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla.

  4. Cook Roll-Ups: Heat butter in a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Dip each roll-up in the egg mixture, ensuring full coating, and place seam-side down in the skillet.

  5. Pan-Fry: Cook for 5–7 minutes, turning frequently, until all sides are golden brown and crisp.

  6. Serve: Remove from skillet and serve warm with maple syrup and optional strawberry garnish.

Notes

  • Use day-old bread for easier rolling and better texture.

  • For extra crispiness, roll the cooked roll-ups in cinnamon sugar.

  • Great make-ahead option: assemble the night before and cook fresh in the morning.
