Roasted Parmesan Creamed Onions

Ingredients:

¼ C. White cooking wine

1 tsp. Garlic powder

3 Sweet onions, thinly sliced

4 Tbsp. Butter

1 C. Heavy whipping cream

3 Tbsp. Olive oil

¼ tsp. Cayenne pepper

½ C. Parmesan cheese, grated

Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Layer the thinly sliced onions on the baking sheet.

Drizzle the onions with olive oil, and season with salt and pepper to taste.

Bake for 15 minutes in the preheated oven.

While the onions are baking, combine the white cooking wine, butter, garlic powder, heavy whipping

cream, and cayenne pepper in a saucepan over medium heat. Simmer until the mixture begins to

thicken.

Remove the onions from the oven, and increase the oven temperature to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).

Pour the cream mixture over the onions, and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.

Cover the baking sheet with aluminum foil, and bake for 20 minutes. Then, uncover and continue to

bake for another 10 minutes until golden and bubbly.
