- 1 (25 oz) package of cheese ravioli (frozen or fresh)
- 3 cups marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 1/2 cups ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, 1 cup mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Stir until smooth and well combined.
- Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
- Layer half of the ravioli in a single layer over the sauce. Top with half of the ricotta mixture, spreading it evenly.
- Pour another layer of marinara sauce over the ricotta. Repeat the layers with the remaining ravioli, ricotta, and marinara sauce.
- Top the lasagna with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 10 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let the lasagna sit for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil if desired.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use homemade marinara sauce.
- Feel free to add cooked ground beef or sausage to the layers for added protein.
- If using fresh ravioli, adjust the cooking time as needed, since it may cook faster than frozen ravioli.
