Scale
- 1 lb pork tenderloin or pork shoulder, thinly sliced
- 2 bell peppers (green, red, or a mix), sliced
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (or any cooking oil)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/4 cup water or chicken broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
- Green onions (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the ingredients: Slice the pork thinly, and chop the bell peppers, garlic, and ginger.
- Cook the pork: Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Add the pork and cook for 4-5 minutes, until the pork is browned and cooked through. Remove the pork from the pan and set aside.
- Stir-fry the vegetables: In the same pan, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the garlic, ginger, and sliced bell peppers. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until the peppers are tender but still crisp.
- Combine the pork and sauce: Return the cooked pork to the pan with the peppers. Add the soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, and water (or chicken broth). Stir to combine and cook for another 2-3 minutes until everything is well-coated in the sauce and heated through.
- Serve: Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions, if desired.
- Serve hot with rice or noodles.
Notes
- This dish can be served with rice or noodles for a more filling meal.
- You can adjust the seasoning based on your taste, adding more soy sauce or hoisin sauce for extra flavor.
- For a spicier version, add chili flakes or fresh chili to the stir-fry.
