Description

Cheesy, golden-baked pizza pinwheels made with rolled dough, zesty tomato sauce, mozzarella, and pepperoni—an easy, fun, and snackable twist on classic pizza.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry or pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni or salami
  • 1 tomato, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Flour, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle.
  3. Spread pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  4. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce, then add sliced pepperoni.
  5. Roll the dough tightly from the long side into a log. Slice into 1-inch rounds.
  6. Place each pinwheel flat on the prepared baking sheet. Top with a tomato slice, sprinkle with oregano and basil.
  7. Beat the egg and brush the edges of the dough with egg wash.
  8. Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
  9. Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm!
