- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
- 1 large egg
- 2 tbsp melted butter (plus more for the pan)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup Nutella (or other chocolate hazelnut spread)
- 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and halved

- Batter Preparation: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, mix buttermilk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla until combined.
- Combining: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and stir until just combined (don’t overmix).
- Cooking: Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease with butter. Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges are set, about 2 minutes. Flip and cook another 1–2 minutes.
- Assembly: Stack the warm pancakes on a plate. Spread Nutella between each layer and on top. Arrange fresh strawberries on top and around the pancakes. Finish with a dusting of powdered sugar and serve warm.
