- 1 cup mango puree (fresh or canned)
- 1/2 cup mango juice (for soaking)
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup mascarpone cheese
- 3 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 12–14 ladyfinger biscuits or sponge cake slices
- A few drops of mango essence (optional)
- Whipped cream and mint leaves, for garnish
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, beat heavy cream until soft peaks form.
- In another bowl, mix mascarpone, powdered sugar, vanilla, and mango puree until smooth.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the mango mascarpone mixture until fully incorporated.
- Dip ladyfingers or sponge slices quickly in mango juice and arrange a layer in a rectangular dish.
- Spread half of the mango cream mixture over the base layer evenly.
- Repeat the layers with soaked biscuits and the remaining mango cream.
- Swirl a little mango puree on top for a marbled effect.
- Chill for 4–6 hours or overnight. Garnish with whipped cream and mint before serving.
Notes
- Use ripe mangoes for the freshest flavor if making puree at home.
- Don’t oversoak the biscuits to prevent sogginess.
- Chill overnight for best results and well-set layers.
- Mango essence enhances the tropical aroma but is optional.
