Pound Cake:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 1/2 cups finely chopped peeled apples (e.g., Honeycrisp)
For the Glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2–3 tbsp milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). Grease and line a loaf pan.
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well.
- Stir in vanilla.
- In another bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- Add dry ingredients to the wet, alternating with milk.
- Fold in chopped apples.
- Pour into pan and bake for 60–70 minutes. Cool completely.
- Mix glaze ingredients and pour over cooled loaf.
