Description

Soft, chewy, and packed with flavor, this Garlic Herb Grilled Flatbread is made with a simple yogurt dough and finished with fresh herbs and garlic butter. Perfect as a side for curries, dips, wraps, or grilled mains.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 1/2 cups self-rising flour (or all-purpose flour + 1 1/2 tsp baking powder + 1/2 tsp salt)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • For Garlic Herb Butter:
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine yogurt and flour to form a soft dough. Knead gently until smooth.
  2. Divide dough into 4 equal portions and roll each into a flat round or oval.
  3. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat and brush with olive oil.
  4. Grill each flatbread for 2–3 minutes per side until puffed and grill marks appear.
  5. Mix melted butter, garlic, parsley, and salt in a small bowl. Brush over warm flatbreads before serving.

Notes

  • If using all-purpose flour, be sure to add the baking powder and salt to make the dough rise properly.
  • For a richer flavor, try adding a pinch of oregano or thyme to the garlic herb butter.
  • Flatbreads can be made ahead and reheated on the grill or in a skillet.
