Description

Soft, golden yeast rolls swirled with Nutella, toasted hazelnuts, sesame seeds, and orange zest—perfect for breakfast, dessert, or cozy weekend baking.


Ingredients

  • 150g all-purpose flour
  • 1g instant dry yeast
  • 8g sugar
  • 1g salt
  • 45g olive oil
  • 65g filtered water
  • 130150g Nutella (softened)
  • 40g blanched hazelnuts, chopped
  • 20g toasted sesame seeds
  • Zest of 1 orange

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix flour, yeast, sugar, and salt. Add olive oil and water, then knead for 8–10 minutes by hand or 5 minutes in a mixer until a soft dough forms.
  2. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for 1–1.5 hours, or until doubled in size.
  3. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  4. Roll the dough into a 20x30cm rectangle.
  5. Spread softened Nutella evenly over the dough.
  6. Sprinkle chopped hazelnuts, sesame seeds, and orange zest on top.
  7. Roll up the dough tightly from the long edge and cut into 6–8 rolls.
  8. Place the rolls cut side up on the baking tray. Let them rest for 15 minutes.
  9. Bake for 15–18 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Make sure Nutella is softened for easier spreading.
  • Use freshly grated orange zest for the best flavor.
  • You can toast the hazelnuts and sesame seeds ahead of time for deeper flavor.
  • These rolls are best enjoyed warm but also store well for a day or two in an airtight container.
