- 1 package (10 oz) marshmallows
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup maraschino cherry juice
- 1/2 cup maraschino cherries, chopped
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup chocolate syrup (for drizzling)
- 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips (optional for topping)
Instructions
- In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
- Add the marshmallows and stir constantly until melted and smooth.
- Stir in the vanilla extract and cherry juice, then remove from heat.
- Add the Rice Krispies cereal and stir until evenly coated.
- Gently fold in the chopped maraschino cherries.
- Press the mixture into a greased 9×9-inch baking pan and flatten evenly.
- Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 20-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until smooth.
- Spread the melted chocolate evenly over the top of the treats.
- Drizzle chocolate syrup over the top and sprinkle with mini chocolate chips, if using.
- Allow the treats to cool to room temperature before cutting into squares.

- Use a greased spatula or wax paper to press the mixture into the pan without sticking.
