- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 6 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion (optional)
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 1 tbsp all-purpose flour (for dusting)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Lightly flour a work surface and roll out the puff pastry into a 10×10-inch square. Cut into 4 equal squares.
- In a bowl, mix cooked bacon, cheddar cheese, parmesan, and onion (if using). Season lightly with salt and pepper.
- Spoon the filling into the center of each square. Fold over into a triangle and seal the edges with a fork.
- Place turnovers on the baking sheet and brush tops with beaten egg.
- Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until golden and puffed.
- Let cool slightly before serving warm.
Notes
- Use pre-cooked bacon to speed up prep time.
- Swap cheddar for gruyère, mozzarella, or pepper jack for a twist.
- Serve with a side of marinara or ranch for dipping.
