Description

Flaky puff pastry turnovers filled with crispy bacon and melted cheese. These savory bites are quick to prepare and perfect for brunch, parties, or anytime snacking.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 6 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion (optional)
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour (for dusting)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Lightly flour a work surface and roll out the puff pastry into a 10×10-inch square. Cut into 4 equal squares.
  3. In a bowl, mix cooked bacon, cheddar cheese, parmesan, and onion (if using). Season lightly with salt and pepper.
  4. Spoon the filling into the center of each square. Fold over into a triangle and seal the edges with a fork.
  5. Place turnovers on the baking sheet and brush tops with beaten egg.
  6. Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until golden and puffed.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving warm.

Notes

  • Use pre-cooked bacon to speed up prep time.
  • Swap cheddar for gruyère, mozzarella, or pepper jack for a twist.
