Greek Chicken Burgers

Ingredients:

Ground Chicken, 1½ pounds (97/3 lean to fat ratio)

Red Peppers, ½ cup, finely chopped

Feta Cheese, ⅓ cup, crumbled

Fresh Spinach, 1 cup, chopped

Panko Crumbs, ⅓ cup

Garlic, 2 cloves, minced

Dried Oregano, 2 teaspoons

Salt, ½ teaspoon

Pepper, ¼ teaspoon

Fresh Lemon Juice, 1 tablespoon

To Serve: Sliced Cucumber and additional Spinach

Instructions:

Prepare the Burger Mix: In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, red peppers, feta cheese,

spinach, panko crumbs, garlic, dried oregano, salt, pepper, and lemon juice. Mix gently to ensure the

ingredients are evenly distributed, taking care not to overmix to maintain tender burgers.

Form Patties: Divide the mixture into 4 to 6 equal portions, shaping each into a patty based on your

preferred size.

Cook the Burgers: Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. For skillet cooking, add a drizzle of olive

oil to prevent sticking. Cook the patties for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are fully cooked

through and golden brown on the exterior. Ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

Serve: Arrange each burger on a plate, accompanied by slices of cucumber and extra spinach for a crisp,

refreshing contrast. These burgers pair wonderfully with whole-grain buns for those seeking a more

filling meal.
